F.W. Karasek Student Poster Award
Up
to three students will be honoured for their excellent
work by receiving the F.W. Karasek Student Poster Award,
as judged by an award selection committee nominated by
the EnviroAnalysis conference chairs.
To be eligible for this award, a student must deliver a
Poster presentation at EnviroAnalysis, and must be the
first author of this paper. Each award consists of a
trophy and a monetary gift.
How to Apply
1.
Students who are first authors of their posters
must email a copy of their abstract to – Dr. Ray
Clement, Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Toronto,
Canada at the following address:

abstracts must still be submitted to the conference
through the web site
www.enviroanalysis.ca
– it is not the responsibility of the conference
organizers to determine whether any submitted poster
should be considered for the Karasek Award.
2.
Abstracts may be sent as either MS Word or Adobe
pdf file attachments.
3.
Abstracts must be received by Thursday, April 15,
2010.
4.
Abstracts will be pre-screened for scientific
content and quality of writing.
5.
Posters chosen from a short-list of the best
abstracts will be evaluated during EnviroAnalysis by the
award selection committee.
6.
Students who are presenting oral talks may be
considered for the Karasek award, but students in such
cases must prepare a poster for judging in addition
to their oral presentation.
7.
The best posters in a variety of topic areas will
receive the F.W. Karasek Student Poster Award at the
conference banquet Tuesday, May 11. Student finalists
will be given complimentary tickets to the banquet.
Important:
The conference organizers do not know which authors are
students. To be considered for this award, students MUST
apply by submitting their EnviroAnalysis poster abstract
to
ray.clement@ontario.ca no later than Thursday,
April 15. |
